I love being it the kitchen. It allows me to get in the zone and be creative. I also love being healthy and there I some handy kitchen gadgets that I just cannot live without.
I love apps and I love eggs so when I saw this egg minder I just had to have it. All I could think was “what will they think of next?” Basically you sync the egg minder with your smart phone and when you’re out shopping it will tell you how many eggs you have left at home and how many are getting close to 14 days. I’m going to be honest and say that mine has now decided to no longer work, so I await a better version of this one.
Of all the pasta, I love spaghetti the most. My partner likes spirals but there is no tool for that. There is for spaghetti, and I was always guessing how much to put in the pot. I am unsure why I waited so long to buy one of these but I’m kicking myself I didn’t. If you don’t have one, there are plenty to choose from, but I just wanted accuracy and convenience and it’s under $10. Stainless steel and dishwasher safe.
You know what I hate? Digging through the draws looking for a measuring cup. I know they nest and my cupboards could be neater but they’re not. Don’t judge me. This bowl is the best thing that ever arrived in my kitchen. It converts ingredients from ounces to cups, weighs and has a digital LCD. It also goes in the dishwasher.
My favorite thing will always be my blender. I have the 12 piece with the included milling blade and re-sealable lids. Not only does it do green smoothies like I just stepped out of the juice bar, the milling blade grinds my coffee beans, blends my herbs and allows me to say “no honey there is no onion in this” when really I was able to blend it so fine, the flavor you need is there, but the texture they usually see isn’t. Re-sealable containers allow me to just pop what I don’t use back in the fridge and hide it under the lettuce where they’ll never think to look.
